Our class was counselled at school not to see this movie because it made heroes of two wicked criminals. This movie caused such a stir that I had to see what it was all about. Whatever glamour that pair seemed to have was cancelled by the scene in which the law catches up with them and, without a gesture to due process, pumps them full of bullets. Even if the bad guys had some fun, in the end the good guys win.

It's conventional, old fashioned morality, only a little closer to conflicted reality, when the story is seen from bad guys' point of view.
