Tried to describe this act to younger people and they thought I was nuts. When they looked him up online they couldn't believe it.

I also watched Capt. Kangaroo when I was a kid, and don't remember this character at all... Or maybe I erased him from my mind as fast as I could. On purpose.

I remember this guy. Seems like I saw him on the Ed Sullivan show back in the mid to late 50s. He had a high voice "Ohhhhhhh!" of amazement as he would pull items out of his pocket and always ended by taking smaller boxes from a larger box (kind of like nesting dolls) and connecting them together like a train before driving it offstage.

I watched Captain Kangaroo when I was a kid, but I sure don't remember this segment!
